Farm History 1953 – Present Day
Perry Court Farm was taken on by the Brockman family in 1953 with the specific intention of creating an Organic and if possible Bio-Dynamic Farm.
We have found the correct timing of harvesting has proved vital in optimising the quality of the crops reaching the customer. After picking the crops, our harvesting team then clean, trim, pack and load the vans so that the vegetables arrive at our Farmers Market stalls, the vegetable boxes or the farm shop in the freshest condition possible, mostly within 24 hours of being picked.
Jacob's Ladder Farms exists to provide an opportunity for smaller farms and artisan food processors to trade in London viably by working in association with each other. Those who participate share a common interest in natural and sustainable farming practices and in the production of interesting and uncomplicated local food.
Hand Picked Shellfish Co is owned and run by two Weymouth fishermen, Matthew Baldwin and Steve Hall. For over a decade they have been bringing fresh fish from the Dorset coast to markets in London. From line caught sea bass to dived scallops offering a wide range of the very best native seafood.
Established in Nunhead in 1897, F.C. Soper (or Sopers as it is known to its legion of loyal customers), stocks an unbeatable range of fresh fish and seafood.
The Allotment is a food shop at 318 New Cross Road, selling fresh fruit and vegetables bought regularly throughout the week from New Covent Garden Market, so we can ensure that all our produce is as fresh as possible and seasonal too. Everything is also sold loose, so you can buy as many or as few items as you need. We also have a range of locally-brewed craft beers and a selection of organic and biodynamic wines.
